Leroy Johnson Obituary
Age 89, of Phoenix, passed away March 11, 2011. Leroy was born on March 10, 1922 in Clay County, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Ardie L. Johnson. Leroy is survived by his daughter, Peggy Johnson; son, Johnnie Johnson; and brother, Deon (Carolyn) Johnson of Lincoln, Nebraska. He moved to Phoenix in 1951, and was employed by Baker Thomas Company, Dealers Building Specialties, and retired from The Marlite Company. At Leroy's request, services will not be held. Please direct memorials to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014. Condolences may be offered at www.westresthavenfuneralhome.com

Leroy was a leading example to all who knew him. My most fond memories are with Leroy as the Superintendent for Sunday School for many years at the Jesus Name Church. May God richly reward you Leroy, in your new heavenly home,for all of your sincerity, compassion and good deeds while here on earth.
