Dale Matthews Obituary
went home to be with the Lord on March 17, 2011, at age 83, in his home in Phoenix with his loved ones. He is survived by his wife Harriett, sons Michael, Thomas, Brad, step son Rickey, step daughters Gail, Tamara, Brenda, sister Alice. brother Elmo, 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Dale was a wonderful and caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Funeral services to celebrate his beautiful life will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, March 26, 2011 at The Church at Cactus. 8133 W. Cactus Road, Peoria, Arizona 85381. A small luncheon immediately following the service. Family requests that in lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hospice of the Valley/West Clinical Office/9435 W. Peoria Ave., Peoria, Az 85345

To everyone,
Dales and my path crossed throughout the years. We did not know each other until Gail and I met up again. He loved his family on both sides. He was the best thing that ever touched Our Families. I will no longer have one to threaten to cut my long hair. Or suffer the pain of him if I don't take care of Gail. Dale can't be replaced. And is very missed.

Dear Aunt Harriet , Mike and family , Tom , Brad and family. I have so many memories lasting and sweet that involve our families as we grew up in Michigan and AZ. What a fun and loving man your father was! I am sad for your loss. It is a lonesome feeling when both parents are gone. I rejoice that Dale was in fact a BELIEVER in the LORD!! So I know where he is and that brings me comfort. I pray that information and your memories bring you comfort at this sad time. What a full and wonderful life he had. We are so sorry to lose such a wonderful friend. He always warmed our hearts with his positive attitude. He warmed our bellies with big pots of famous chili that he made for us at the shop and shared with everyone. He warmed our soul as we connected immediately with him as if we were family, allowing us to call him "grandpa", even though we are not related.
