Gerald Sheridan Obituary

Sheridan, Gerald "Jerry" John
67, of Sun City West, Arizona, passed away on March 14, 2011. Born in Toledo, Ohio on February 1, 1944, Jerry was a 1962 graduate of Central Catholic High School and later earned Accounting and Business Administration degrees at Davis Business College and Siena Heights University respectively. Jerry proudly served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967 in the Finance Corps, primarily stationed in West Germany. Jerry worked as a Controller, Accountant, and Human Resource Manager for various law firms and small businesses throughout his professional career. He will be remembered for his faith in God and his generosity and devotion to family and friends. Jerry had a deep love for traveling, frequently embarking on family vacations all across the United States. Jerry was not only an avid sports fan but also a participant; besides his favorite hobby of all, golfing, he was also an avid softball player and bowler. He was a dedicated fan of University of Michigan athletics and will fondly be remembered for taking his family to countless Michigan football games throughout the 1980's and 90's. Jerry was preceded in death by his soul mate and wife of 39 years, Jean. Jerry is survived by his son, Scott, brother, Frederick "Lenny" Szalkowski, and his loyal Scottish terrier, Casey. Family
and friends may pay their respects at a Memorial Mass, which will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 19002 N 128 Ave, Sun City West. Remembrances may be made to the family or be made to a charity of your choice.

I was saddened to hear of Jerry's passing, we were like brothers throughout St. Anthony and CCHS years and many years after. I have many fond memories and will cherish them deeply.
