Eubank, George D.
George D. Eubank passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, March 19, at Banner Del Webb Hospital in Sun City West. George was born in Los Angeles, CA on March 18, 1923 to Daniel and Georgia Eubank. The family returned to Glendale, AZ when George was two. After graduating from Glendale High School, he spent one year at Phoenix Junior College. He then joined the Navy in October, 1942, and served in the Pacific Theater until January, 1946. He enrolled at Arizona State University, where he completed a B.A. in Business, and an M.E. in Education. After teaching in Arizona for four years, he moved to Pomona, CA. He taught fifth grade for two years, before serving 29 years as an elementary and junior high school principal. George was a Rotarian for over 30 years, and was a member of the Rotary Club of Sun City West. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, a daughter, Laura Young, and a son, Daniel both in CA, and a brother Bob Dycus (Lynne) of Oro Valley, AZ. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. There will be a service honoring George's life on Friday, April 15, at 3 pm, at the Camino del Sol Funeral Chapel, in Sun City West. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvatiom Army Sun Cities Area Corps, 10730 W. Union Hills, Sun City, 85373.
