Lydia Newell Obituary
80 of Phoenix, AZ, went home to be with the Lord on March 21, 2011. Lydia was preceded in death by her husband, Willie, daughter, Helen, and sons, Anthony and George Newell. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and friend. Lydia was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children, Willie (Julia) Newell, Rachel (Jerry) Flota, David (Odilia) Newell, Rita (Joe) Cordova, Mario (Cathy) Newell, Belen (David) Coker, and Jesse (Maria) Newell; sister, Maria Rosales, 28 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 5 1/2 great great grandchildren. The Visitation will be from 8:00-10:00 AM, Thursday, March 24, 2011, with a 9:00 AM Rosary, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 6200 South Central Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona. The Funeral Mass will follow, beginning promptly at 10:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Burial to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Lowmans Arizona Funeral Home, Inc.
