Perkins Jr., Sherwood Arthur "Art"
Sherwood Arthur "Art" Perkins Jr. age 75, was born in New London, CT on 11/22/1935 passed away on 3/17/2011. Art was a retired MSGT USAF serving both in the Korean & Vietnam wars. After retiring from the Air Force he worked another 24 years for the Maricopa County. Art served many years as a Boy Scout Leader, and a hunter safety instructor. He was also an avid outdoors man enjoying hunting, fishing & camping. He especially enjoyed trapshooting were he won several awards including many Senior Olympic medals. Art was a member of Sun City Elks Lodge 2559 and the American Legion. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Martha, sons Sherwood III (Nanette), Michael (Diane) & daughter Cindy (Gerald) Hino; 7 grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren. Also his sisters Elysabeth Perkins-Lattin, Pam Bennet, Wendy Robbins; brothers Dale & Briane Bennet. Memorial service will be held on Friday, March 25th at 1PM at Advantage Maryvale Mortuary, 6901 W. Indian School Rd. Phoenix.
