I always had the utmost respect for you. You did a tremendous job as single parent raising six sons and working multiple jobs. I first met your family in 1959 in the Matthew Henson projects where were all one big family. It has been a long ride and an honor knowing you.

Your Mechanic,
David J. Hubbard

Rest easy Mr. Taylor

March 30, 2011

My family and I are very sorry to hear of your fathers passing, Mr. Taylor was the matriarc of our neighborhood. We have known you all for such a long time. I'd listen every morning for him to pass by in the old truck my sister had sold to him, because it had that distinctive sound that let you know he was up and on his way, nearly every morning. When he changed trucks I was really surprised because He had the other one for so long.We always talked about what a strong man he was raising all you boys.(I'd so often think of Dwight when I'd see your dad, he was a true friend), and I still miss talking to him so much. Mr.Taylor would stop by sometimes when he'd see me in the yard and always ask about Joe. I am going to miss seeing him immensely. You just expected to see him driving by.
May God bless you all,and help you to know that this is not the end, but a new beginning. Your dad and brothers are the blessed ones, their troubles of this life is over and the best is yet to come.Take Care and God Bless.Verdean Williams & Family

To the Family of Mr. Tom Taylor. Psalm 46:1 declares "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

To the Taylor siblings, Mother Annie B. Ward, Mother Frankie, Mother Harvey Lee and Deacon John Taylor, may God who is acquainted with sorrow and grief comfort and help you now.

Melvin, Kevin and Terry we share in your loss and do understand how you feel today.

Just know Mr. Tom had a special way that warmed the hearts of everyone who knew him.

And the qualities that made him the wonderful brother and father he was have left us all with many beautiful memories.
