Johnny Garcia Obituary
Johnny S. Garcia, 21 years old, passed away on March 17, 2011, surrounded by family and friends. Johnny graduated from St. Mary's High School in 2007 and attended Estrella Community College. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and racing his Saleen. Johnny is survived by his parents, Laura and Johnny, brothers Xavier and Joaquin, Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Juan O. Garcia, Lillian Lugo and Gabriel Sanchez, numerous aunts, uncles, family, and friends. Johnny was a huge inspiration to many of us and will be deeply missed. Heaven is so lucky to embrace such an awesome individual. Johnny is an angel, so strong and beautiful. Rosary to be held from 7-8 pm on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Rd, Goodyear, AZ 85338. Mass will be held on Friday, March 25, 2011 at St. Thomas Aquinas, 13720 W. Thomas Rd., Avondale 85392 at 10 am.

It's a shame that we lost you at such a young age. You were and still are such a beautiful person, that it is impossible not to love and care for you so intensely.You were such a driven young man,and you were surely heading someplace in life.You definitely are loved and cherished so deeply by more than I could possibly count, because you touched the lives and hearts of so many people. You made an impact in all of our lives, for you are our inspiration, and we will always have you in our thoughts, our hearts, and our prayers. Jay, there is no disbelief in my mind that you put up an incredible and amazing fight. You will always and forever will be missed, loved and cherished by all of us. Johnny and Lori our hearts goes out to you and your family. May God and your memories be your comfort. I was fortunate to meet Johnny when I went with Matthew to the bone marrow drive. Johnny and Matt bonded to fight the disease together. Johnny was a wonderful person and an inspiration to Matthew. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

My deepest thoughts goes out to johnny and the family. I did not know johnny jr. but I heard several wonderful things about ypu. I really know how it feels I been there about 5 yrs. Ago on and I tell you what its not easy but I could promise you it gets a little better with time. I will pray and ask god to watch over you john and your family. May the Lord comfort your family during this difficult time of loss. I grew up with Johnny Sr. (and cousin Becky) and his family and only got to know Jay through Facebook during his bone marrow search. I would email him encouraging words, scriptures and he would email me back with kind gracious words...he was such a good person and he was very strong. You both did a great job raising your precious son! He touched my heart and he was loved by so many including my cousins (the Gloria girls) and my god daughter (Jessimarie) who went to school with Jay at St. Mary's. Please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of your son Johnny. It is so very tragic and I want you to know that I share your grief.
"Johnny", what a fine young man always smiling and always trying to instill his positive influence, character and attitude, on this brother's. How his brothers Xavior and Joaquin would emulate.
I know that it is difficult to understand tragedies like this, but we can call on our faith to help us deal with them. I take solace in the words of the Bible that tell us that "those who mourn will be blessed".

My deepest sympathy to the family. I had the pleasure of knowing Johnny while he worked at Advantage Logistics Southwest and getting to know his mother. I see where he got that instant friendliness he brought to us all. Johnny had many friends that will deeply miss him and that big smile of his. whats up Jay, this is Eddie! I just wanted to tell you that you were a great friend and I was lucky to share a friendship with you. You did a lot of great things when you were with us like getting a marrow drive that I took part in. Like I told you last time I talked to you, I got called in from Be the Match to donate marrow to a 12 year old boy who needs a transplant just like you did. I will be donating bone marrow to this child to save his life and hopefully meet him and tell him how important it was for me to save his life. Like I said before I LOVE YOU MAN!! you will always be in my heart and in the heart of the ones who knew you.
