Alice Pfeffer Obituary

Pfeffer, Alice M.
Alice, age 64, passed away at the Hospice of the Valley, Eckstein Center, Scottsdale, AZ on 3/22/11. Alice Madeline Kaplan was born on May 3, 1946 in the Bronx, NY. Alice lived the major portion of her life in Northern New Jersey. She leaves her husband of 39 years Michael A. Pfeffer and son Douglas L Pfeffer. The family moved from Ramsey, NJ to Scottsdale, Arizona in April of 1998 and in January of 2005 Alice and Michael moved to Carefree, AZ. Alice struggled courageously with major illnesses in her adult life, including MS and cancer. She proved the experts wrong, who counted her out a number of times. Obviously, she was a fighter, yet through all of her trials she radiated beauty, love and character. All who came to know her were impressed and inspired by her spirited attitude toward life. It was a point of pride that she always looked many years younger than her age; even recently as disease enveloped her body. Alice accomplished a great deal in her lifetime, despite the serious challenges she faced. Over the years, she held a number of responsible positions in business and in civic and social organizations. She will be sorely missed by her family, friends and the many whose life she touched. A graveside service will be held at Paradise Memorial Gardens cemetery, 9300 E Shea Blvd, Scottsdale, AZ 85260 at 1:30 on Fri
day, March 25, 2011. Rabbi, Martin S. Scharf of Phoenix will preside. Alice's wishes are that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014
