I was saddened to learn of Dale's passing. We went to Bisbee High together. He was so supportive when Wally died. My family will never forget his kindness and genuine sencerity. I send my prayers and healing thoughts to Dale's family. He was loved and will be missed by so many.

My thoughts & prayers to Jane & family. We have lost an incredible human being. Dale greeted everyone with a smile & an outstretched hand. I don't think anyone could meet him without feeling they had made a genuine friend. I feel blessed to have known Dale while attending Chandler Schools, as a parent and also former district employee. God needed the best so He chose Dale.

Jane,Brian,Shane,Shad and Summer - - Diane and I are praying that God will surround you with love and comfort during the tragic loss of your husband, dad and granddad. He was a great man and we treasure the friendship we had with him over the years. Diane grew up with him and his family in Bisbee and I enjoyed working with him in Chandler for my whole teaching career. I felt very honored when he recruited me to teach for him at San Marcos but I was enjoying my position at the Jr High too much to join him. I will never forget the basketball games I played against him in the Chandler City Leagues when we were both young men. I hated to guard him - - because since he couldn't jump he made sure I couldn't jump either by getting real close and grabbing my shorts. Not only couldn't I jump - - I couldn't even move. The referees never did catch him.
He was an amazing man. We will miss him as well as the whole community. Jim and Diane Johnston

Mr. Hancock was the principal who first hired me to work for CUSD - he was the best boss I ever had. I will always remember his kindness and the confidence he had in all of us (his staff at San Marcos Elementary). My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Mr. Dale Hancock will always hold a special place in my heart! Because of him I have many pictures of my sons Mark and Luke when they played basketball at Queek Creek High School. Mr. Hancock went beyond taking pictures, he even went out of his way to drop off some CD's at NBJH for me. They don't come much better than Mr. Dale Hancock, we lost a good one! My sincere condolences to his family.

I was Dale's secretary from 1973 to 1981 both in AJ and Chandler. He taught me so much and I loved him dearly. He was a BIG man, not only in size. I cannot say enough wonderful things about him. My love and prayers to his family. Vera McKinney Ferguson

Mr. Hancock -- an amazing man. We are thankful for him getting three Hamilton's though Jr. High. He was a fair man, a tough man but at the end of the day it way his laugh that made all of us enjoy our years at Willis Junior High. As an adult I loved talking to him about "his challenges.". Having been one I always did and still respect him. Go Firebirds and Mr. Hancock!

I had the privilege of attending Willis Junior High School where Mr. Dale Hancock was principal. I attended from 1981-1984/7th-9th grade. I remember when someone was in trouble he was hard on them, but he wanted young people to learn the right way in the world, so that they would grow into wonderful productive adults. As we are all saddened by Dales physical departure, we are also reminded of the Giant Shadow he has cast upon all whom came in contact with him. The love, empathy, and concern, the bright light, he showered upon all. Our prayers and sympathies go out to his family and all who loved him. The pain and void of his passing cannot be eliminated by words of admiration and praise, nor can they adequately express what Dale has meant to so many. These sentiments herein, of our emotions and respect are only a mirror token of his legacy that will live on in the lives of the multitudes he has touched. His spirit will live on in the lives he has touched, as well as the lives they themselves touch as well. May Our Lord comfort his family as He grants Dale eternal grace and peace.
Dale will be missed, the lessons, the love, the commitment, contribution, the light of his life will never diminish or be forgotten.
