Luther Howell Obituary
77, of Mesa, Arizona passed away on March 7, 2011. Lou "Poppy" Howell was born on February 10, 1934. He was a handsome, caring, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend whose love and strength held his family together. Lou worked as a machinist and also as Parks and Recreation Director in Glendora, California, before moving to Arizona. He worked at Skyway Manufacturing in Phoenix for 20 years and then at Honeywell for 5 years, before he retired. He loved to hunt and fish and was passionate about being outdoors. Lou is survived by his loving and loyal wife of 57 years, Beverly, and his five children, Rick, John, Shelley, Sandi and Doug; ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren, his sister Mae, his brother Bud and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Lou's Life is being held on March 26th for family and close friends. Donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley.
