Alberto Del Castillo Obituary
Alberto R. Del Castillo, our beloved brother and uncle passed away peacefully March 22, 2011 in Goodyear, AZ. He was the son of Guadalupe and Gabriel Del Castillo and is survived by his two sisters Esperanza Reyes and Maria Louisa Quinonez along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was born December 10, 1920 in Litchfield Park, AZ. He succeeded his father Gabriel as a landscaper on the grounds of the WigWam Resort where his love for golf and attire originated (he reminded us of Bing Crosby). A United States Army veteran, he devoted his life to the care of his mother, sister and niece. His last years were spent in the loving care of the nursing staff of the Veranda Unit at Palm Valley Rehabilitation and Care center. Visitation 5:00-8:00 p.m. with Rosary being read at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Crystal Rose Funeral Home 9155 W. Van Buren St., Tolleson with Mass at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church 13720 W. Thomas Rd., Avondale and interment to follow at Goodyear Farms Historic Cemetery with full military honors. Share a memory at www.greerwilsonfuneralhome.com
