79 of Scottsdale, AZ peacefully went home to his Lord on March 21, 2011. He passed away surrounded by his loving family and special friend. Hale was born and raised in Chicago, IL, served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and afterward settled in Miami, FL where he enjoyed a long career in advertising and graphic design. In 1953, he married Lois, "the girl next door", and they shared a wonderful 40 years together until her passing in 1993. Hale moved to Arizona in 2000 to be with his only child, daughter Linda Bowers and son-in-law John. His love for art and the arts prompted him to become a volunteer usher at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts and he enjoyed the hours he spent touring local art shows and creating his own works of art. He was known by all as a gentleman who was always unselfish, kind, considerate, good natured and helpful. He will be greatly missed by all, especially Linda, to whom he was not only a beloved father, but also best friend, and John who lovingly cared for him to the end. He is survived by Linda and John, grandchildren John Bradford, Beth Anne and Craig, three great-grandchildren, nephews Thomas, Stephen and Michael, nieces Patricia and Susan and many special friends. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Valley Presbyterian Church, 6947 E. McDonald Drive, Paradise Valley, AZ
