Loftus, Larry "Bubba"
74, of Surprise, AZ, lost his heroic battle to cancer on March 21, 2011. YNC(SS) Larry Charles Loftus (Bubba), a Retired Navy Chief, proudly served from Aug 1954 to Feb 1974. He was born on April 12, 1936 in Rochester, Pennsylvania, the son of Joseph Patrick Loftus and Edna Bird. He is survived by his wife Gayle, his sister Donna Lou Gossard, his children: Janie & Jay Dunn, Danny & Sarah Michelle Kellogg, Kathleen & Mark Wilde, Angela & David McLaughlian, Dianne & William Benedict, Johnnie & Kristee Lewis, and Casey & Texanna Loftus. His grandchildren: Sophia, Jackson, Doc, Kendall, John, Steph, Ellie, Tink, Connor, Caleb, Angie, Megan, Johnnie, Matthew, Colby, Madison, and his Great Great Nephew Tristan. Chief's life will be celebrated on March 28, 2011 at Palm Funeral Home at 10761 W. Grand Ave. Sun City, AZ 85351. Viewing will be from 5pm to 8pm, with Rosary Service at 7pm. Mass will be held on March 29, 2011 at 10am at St Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Churh, located at: 17111 W Bell Rd, Surprise, AZ., 85374. The burial is scheduled for 1pm at the AZ National Veterans Cemetery located at 23029 North Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85024. All are invited back to Gayle's after the Burial.
