Mott, Kenneth E.
passed away peacefully at home with his family at the age of 81 on March 23, 2011. Kenny was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother and friend. He was a man of strong faith, his kindness to all he came in contact with, characterized his nature. Kenny is survived by his wife, Polly, of 63 years; brother, Leon Mott; sister, Mona Dixon; two daughters, Paget Lucero and Paula Eischen; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maude and Paul Mott; sister, Pat Hubby and daughter, Kathy York. Kenny was born in Clovis, New Mexico on July 17, 1929 and was the oldest son of four children. Kenny met his soulmate in the first grade in Clovis; they were married at the age of 17. Kenny and Polly have been in the Valley since 1955 and were involved in many organizations including Scottsdale Masonic Lodge #43, Scottsdale Shrine Club, The Eagles, Scottsdale Mounted Posse, Navajo County Posse, Hashknife Pony Express, and the U.S. Marshall's Posse. Kenny was a Veteran of WWII and The Korean War. After he finished his service to his country he was an ironworker for 25 years, then owned a service station in Scottsdale until 1994. Kenny was a special man. His absence leaves a great void in the lives of those who knew him. A visitation and viewing will be held Monday, March 28 from 5-8pm at Messinger Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Tuesday at Messinger Mortuary (7601 E. Indian School Road, Scottsdale AZ). A celebration of Kenny's life will follow the services.
