Carole Paullin Obituary

Paullin, Carole A.
Carole Paullin passed away on March 23, 2011 with her family by her side. Born November 15, 1943 in Newton Massachusetts Carole attended High School on Cape Cod and graduated from University of Colorado at Boulder in 1965. She married her husband, Bud, in Denver in 1970. The past 19 years were lived in Arizona where she first resided in Scottsdale and then in Sun Lakes. Throughout her life, Carole worked as a Supervisor for Mountain Bell in Colorado and a Supervisor in patient services at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. She spent many years close to her children working as a preschool teacher and elementary librarian. A woman full of courage and spirit, Carole enjoyed interests such as bridge, crafts, travel, cooking and socializing with her many friends; but above all, she most enjoyed spending time with her family and adored being a Nana to her two grandsons. She was a loving wife and devoted mother to her daughters Jen (Mike) Simmons and their boys, Sean and Andrew; Stacey (Larry) Mortenson and Katie Paullin. Services will be held at Valley of the Sun Mortuary in Chandler on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 2 p.m. Donations in her name can be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation or the American Cancer Society.

I will miss Carole, my first Mayo co-worker who trained me at my job, who gave me advice on my 3 daughters, who became a caring friend as well as an awesome supervisor. I will miss her at our girls luncheons and annual Mayo asthma walk. My deepest sympathy to her lovely family.

Carole's legacy is an inspiration to all who knew her. She had a ready smile, patient attitude, followed details to the letter, was dependable in all that she did.
She loved her family and was very proud of all of them.
She will be missed, but remembered.
