My family first met Shirley in 1982 when she was the social worker at JC Lincoln Hospital. Shirley always knew exactly what to say to comfort us during a very difficult time. Many people in Shirley's profession hope to help just one person during their life and to make a difference. Shirley did that and more for me and my family. She was truly a gifted and caring professional. I feel so fortunate that I got to know Shirley. She will be very missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all of her family & friends during this difficult time.

Shirley was a very bright light in my life. She taught me to live in the moment and appreciate every day. It was an honor to be her friend.
