DUSTY: you were your Daddy's baby, and you cared for him so lovingly and patiently. You gave him such a loving atmosphere, surrounded by those grandchildren and great grandchildren. You nursed him so tenderly, you make me proud to be your sister in law. Take it slow, and cry whenever you need to. We will see him again and embrace him so tight.

Our sincere condolences to our Tia Alice, Dusty and family. Those of us who believe in Jesus Christ know that our Tio Daniel is in a better place, free of pain and in peace.

The memories that I Carlos (Lay) recall of my Tio Daniel are all pleasant. The many card games that we enjoyed playing with my Tio Lito, Manuelito (Vardy), Bobby and others. The get togethers with my Dad Gregorio, Tio Lito, Tio Daniel singing and drinking beer. The times that Tio Daniel and Tia Alice would take us to work in the cotton fields early in the morning around zero-dark-thirty. Tio Daniel had a
2-1/2 or 5 Ton truck with a canvas cover, similar to the old Army trucks.
It was very cold at that hour so we would crawl into our cotton-picking sacks to stay warm. Tia and Tia would sell soda pop and other goodies to the field workers. After the work day on the way home, Vardy and I would heist a couple of sodas before we were dropped off at home. (Tia Alice, Vardy and I owe you for a few sodas) (Vardy will pay you for them) These are just a couple of the many memories that come to mind.

Seriously, our Tio was very pleasant to be with. He shared many interesting stories and was very polite and respectable.

May The Lord Grant You Peace, Forgiveness And Salvation.

My wonderful father-in-law. I always wanted him and my mother in law Alice (I call her Darling) to think highly of me, because I knew how dear they were to Arnold. Daniel was such a good dad; he worked so hard, his kids never went hungry and always had a roof over their heads. Arnold remembers it as a happy childhood. How many people can say that? Daniel taught his children to work hard too. He never gave up on Arnold, a bad little boy. As a result, Arnold grew up into a wonderful husband and father. Danielle, our daughter, loved her 'Tata' dearly, she thought he was so cute. We have a picture of Daniel holding baby Danielle. He looked so happy. She loved that picture. I am so glad that we loved each other. I was so fortunate to have him as my father in law. And as it says in the Bible, "And as for you yourself, go toward the end; and you will rest, but you will stand up for your lot at the end of days." Daniel 12:13 I think it's perfect that those words are from the book named Daniel. Love you, handsome father in law. Dusty, we are always here for you, always. Linda Montoya Amaral
