McGaffic, J. Arthur
J. Arthur McGaffic, 78, of Phoenix, passed away on March 25, 2011. Born in New Castle, PA. Art's service in the United States Navy led to a degree in Electrical Engineering from Youngstown State University. A varied career included Penn Power Co., Bell Aero Systems and Honeywell-Bull. He is remembered by his wife, Garnet (Kitty) of sixty years, as the sun in the morning and the moon at night, by his daughter, Claudia Scott, as a man of unconditional love & acceptance, and by his son, Brian, as the kind of man every boy wants to be when he grows up. His grandchildren, Zachariah, Siera, Adam and Jaimes cherish the ideals and values he taught through example. His daughter in law Sandy, former son in law Tom and many friends knew him to be kind, thoughtful and generous, with a ready laugh and are grateful to have had him in their lives. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 2 at 10:00 a.m. at Hansen Desert Hill Mortuary and Memorial Park, 6500 E. Bell Rd., Scottsdale. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley/Sherman Home. Please visit www.hansenmortuary.com to leave online condolences.
