Mary Sivigny-Ladd Obituary

Sivigny-Ladd, Mary Ellen
of Gilbert passed away on March 25, 2011. Beloved mother, grandmother and treasured friend, passed away peacefully on March 25th, 2011 at the age of 82. Mary Ellen was born on September 19th 1928, in Waterloo, lowa to Arley and Barbara Ladd. Her early life included serving 8 years in the US Air force, where she traveled all over the world and met her husband James Sivigny. Mary Ellen graduated from Arizona State University, Magna Cum Laude, with her degree in social work. Her love of mankind was a blessing to all that knew her. She also loved taking care of animals; which included her horses, cows, dogs and cats. Mary Ellen had great sense of humor; her laugh alone could light up a room. She is survived by her daughter Barbara (Ray) Schaffer, her son Jim (Josie) Sivigny, and 10 grandchildren: Lee, Lyndsie, Brian, Melissa, Samantha, Olivia, Katlyn, Ashlynn, Isabelle and Ayden. She touched many lives and will be dearly missed. Memorial services will be held Friday April 1, 2011 at 10:30am at Chandler Presbyterian Church 1500 W. Germann Road Chandler, AZ 85286. Followed by Internment at 1:30pm at St. Francis Cemetery 2033 N. 48th Street Phoenix, AZ 85008.
