Genaro Campos Obituary
Of Glendale, Az born in Texas on Jan 29,1947 went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2011 He was a loving husband and father and grandfather (Papa) Genaro was retired from At&t (35 years) and worked for the city of Surprise 2 1/2 years he was an enthusiastic fan of boxing. Survivors include his wife Alice Morales daughters Mary Helen Villalpando (Victor) and Laura Hernandez, Grandchildren Erica, Isaiah and Isaac and Noah. Procreed in death by Margarita Campos. Sisters Teresa Anderson, Armida Aleman brothers Ray and Rudy Campos Visitation will be on Friday April 1, 2011 from 3:30-6:30 pm at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Church 5614 W Orangewood Ave Glendale, Az Mass Saturday April 2, 2011 at 10:00 am at OLPH Church followed by burial at West Resthaven Cemetery 6290 W Northern Ave. Arrangements by West Resthaven Funeral Home.

Geno....I am so sorry that you had to leave us all and I was always keeping my fingers crossed your health would improve. But I guess the good Lord needed you more than all of us. It was fun having lunch with you at your mama's memorial. I didn't realize that would be the last time I would see you. Take care and watch over us all.

As Genaro's nurse, I had the honor of waking him up on Christmas morning to the beautiful red tree in his room all lit up, he had a huge smile on his face that glowed and said to me, "you know, I am not afraid any longer, I used to be, but not anymore because I know I will be with God when he says it's time." My thoughts and prayers are with you all, he was a wonderful person and will be truly missed.

I will always remember Tio Genaro and i will always remember the time i went to his birthday party a couple yrs. ago. Tio was telling me how much he lived for his daughters and how much he loved his girls. what struck me the most of our conversation was how he loved Tia Licha. it was like a story from a book. i got goose bumps when he was telling me how he cherished his family. when we ended the conversation, he said i love my Nalgonas, and he told me just dont say that to your Tia , she will get mad at me. and we just laughed, he was so funny like that, you will be truly missed tio and may God bless you as he takes you into Glory for you to be his servant! love you Tia Licha and primas. lucy p. chagolla cervantez

I was saddened to hear of Genaro's passing. Although I didn't see Genaro & Alice very often after our high school days, I have great memories from those days. Genaro was always respectful and had lots of friends. I am comforted in thinking of our Lord embracing Genaro as he enters His kingdom! God bless you.
