Elinor Hanson Obituary

Hanson, Elinor R. "Pat"
Elinor R. "Pat" Hanson died peacefully on March 29, 2011. Born in 1916 in Wichita, Kansas to Vivian and Ernest Hollowell, she married Erland J. "Ole" Hanson in 1934. They moved to Arizona in 1937 where they lived in Tucson, Phoenix, Nogales, and Green Valley along the way. Pat was known for her honesty, work ethic, and good sense of humor. She managed several offices and eventually worked for the AZ DPS. Recent years she lived in The Springs of Scottsdale enjoying her retirement, activities there, and nearby family. Pat is survived by daughter Sharon Downs of Scottsdale , granddaughter Jami Downs (Nelson Bell) of Snowmass , CO , grandsons Brent Downs (Amy) of Scottsdale and Bryan Downs (Lyda) of Paradise Valley . She was delighted and proud to be "GG" (great grandmother) to Aydan, Sara, Samantha, Karly, Kassidy, and Anthony. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends! A celebration of her life will be held at The Springs of Scottsdale, 3212 N. Miller Rd. , Friday, April 1st at 1:00 p.m. Private burial will be in southern AZ beside her husband. The family is grateful to Hospice of the Valley and the Sunrise Facility for their comforting care. Messinger Indian School Mortuary assisted the family.
