Kimberly Chapman Obituary

Chapman, Kimberly "Kimmy"
March 3, 1956 - March 26, 2011. There aren't enough beautiful words to describe Kimmy, truly genuine, gorgeous, outgoing, enough personality for ten and irreplaceable. The unmistakable way she touched so many people's lives and the everlasting impression she leaves behind. A beloved and devoted mother of Joe, Kelly and Jim, a supportive sister to Joan, Eddie, Jan and Debbie, the beloved daughter of the late Edward and Katherine, and the Matriarch of her World Wide Motorcycle Family. Kimmy was unlike no other in her ability to make people smile and the unselfish impact she had in everything she set her mind to do. An accomplished marketing, sales and advertising powerhouse she worked at major newspapers and companies across the country before starting her own motorcycle magazine "Biker Information Guide" that includes franchises in many states. Her introduction into the Biker World was by none other than her Brother In-law Frenchie, back when mostly rough necks and outlaws rode bikes. Never could he have imagined where this would lead. From her being one of the few women in the day that "Rode her own" to being recognized in the motorcycle community nationwide. Weather fitting you and your ride with custom leather or coordinating a successful charity event Kimmy was the "Ultimate Motorcycle Enthusiast". As one of the original sponsors of Arizona Bike Week in 1997 with Kimmy's Custom Leathers and her continued involvement every year since, Kimmy was duly recognized in 2009 as the Arizona Bike Week Honoree for her unselfish, heartfelt and relentless giving to the motorcycle community. We miss you already and will love you forever, God bless you and keep you. At the request of the family in lieu of flowers, please…PAY ATTENTION! Drivers Watch Out For Motorcycles, Riders Watch Out For Vehicles, Ride Safe and Give to your Favorite Charity. The celebration of Kimmy's life is Sunday April 3rd at 1:00pm at the Arizona Bike Week main tent, West World, Scottsdale. (Normal Bike Week admission required)

Matt and I are honored to have met this inspiring woman and to have worked with her to launch Louisiana's Biker Information Guide. She helped us fulfill a dream, and we will never forget her generosity and patience with us. We are shocked and sad that she will no longer be with us, but her legacy lives on through all the lives she touched and the accomplishments she achieved. Our love and prayers for strength go out to Tapper and to Kimmy's family and friends. She believed in living life to the fullest, and we can all honor her memory by doing so.

Wow Kim, what can I say? I'm so thankful for the good (and sad) times we shared while we were young girls trying to discover who we wanted to be. What fun we had! You gave my life extra meaning with the story you shared at our last meeting, and I am truly thankful for that. And what an impressive force you became in the biker world you obviously loved so dearly. You were adored and admired by so many - what a wonderful legacy you left! I will miss you my sweet friend until we meet again, Sue

Working at the Steel Horse gave me the opportunity to see you often and every single time there was that beautiful smile and big wonderful hug. I have met very few as perfect & loving as you.. The angels couldn't be without you any longer, you are simply doing your work from the other side. The earth is so much dimmer, but heaven is so much brighter... why didn't they see we needed you more? Until we meet again, I love you. xoxo
