Helene Biscone Obituary

Biscone, Helene C.
Helene Biscone, of Peoria, Arizona, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, on April 2, 2011. Helene was born in Valleroy, France on January 17, 1926, to Mr. and Mrs. Stanislaus Chmiel. As a teenager, she was actively involved with the Polish Underground in France during World War II. Helene met her first husband, Casimir Borowski Sr., during the war and came to the United States in the 1940's where she raised five wonderful children who loved her dearly and miss her deeply. Helene was an avid reader and would spend hours reading her favorite books and magazines. Helene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anthony Biscone. She is survived by her five loving children and their families; her son Casimir Borowski Jr. and his wife Karen of Houston, Texas, her son Dr. Allen Borowski Lee and his wife Zoe Yeh of Chandler, Arizona, her daughter Cyndy Wilber and her husband Roger of Ravena, New York, her daughter Jacqueline Emerson and her husband Jerry of Peoria, Arizona, and her son Jeffrey Borowski and his wife Brenda of Peoria, Arizona. She is also survived by her two sisters, Jeanne Gucker and Wanda Opiola, of France, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. One of Helene's last wishes was for all of her children to be happy together in her memory and we will honor her wish always. Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 8, 2011, at 5PM at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Road, Peoria, Arizona.

Dearest Mom,
Yours was truly the heart "of a mother". You wanted the best for your children, always. Yours was not an easy life and yet, you tried to make life easier for us. You forgave us the pain we caused you and constantly tried to pull "your kids" together to form a solid unit bound by your love. Few know you were a war hero, receiving commendations for your work with the Polish Underground during WWII, where you met my father, himself a survivor of the Battle of Normandy. I could not have been more proud to have the both of you as parents. Years later, you would have your precious, Tony... who completed your life in ways you needed. When he died, he took a large piece of your heart with him and I know how terribly you missed him. Now you are together again... in peace, in love, without pain and happy. Our grief will pass, but never the love we have for you. Rest in peace, Mom. Soon we will meet again, Keep a seat warm for us at the Lord's dinner table!
Love Always,
Your daughter, Cyndy, her husband Roger Wilber; your grandchildren: Ami Wilber Mosher (Michael) and Roger A. Wilber, Jr, (Jill) and your great grand children, Samantha Mosher, Alexander Mosher, and Morgan Wilber.
