Judd, Cornelius Myers "Neil" Jr.
Cornelius Myers ("Neil") Judd, Jr., 90, passed away in Scottsdale, AZ on March 20, 2011. He was born to Cornelius Myers and Winnifred Twiss Judd on July 3, 1920 in Rochester, MN at the Mayo Clinic. A graduate of Rochester High School, he attended Deerfield Academy, Dartmouth, and the University of Minnesota, from which he earned his degree in pharmacy. Mr. Judd served in the United States Navy as a Pharmacist Mate during World War II. He then joined his father at Weber & Judd Co. in Rochester, MN, before purchasing the Ute Drug Store in Colorado Springs, CO. Mr. Judd was an avid golfer and snow skier, and was passionate about hockey. While in Rochester, he was President of the Rochester Mustang Hockey Association. Mr. Judd married Mary Ellen Figi on September 7, 1946. Their two children, Sherrie and Marnie, were born in Rochester. In 1952, the Judd family moved to Colorado Springs, CO, where they resided until they moved to Scottsdale, AZ in 1996. He is survived by sister Lois Livelli of North Carolina, daughters Sherrie (Joe) Mahaffey and Marnie (Dick) Stites, grandchildren Michelle Mahaffey, Marianne Mahaffey, R.J. (Jennifer) Stites, and Buddyanne Stites, four great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law Marjorie F. Phillips of Freeport, Illinois. Arrangements were entrusted to Green Acres Mortuary of Scottsdale, AZ www.greenacresmortuary.net. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to a charity of choice or Guardianship Services, Inc. in Fort Worth, Texas.
