Lee Allen Obituary

Allen, Lee Sr.
of Peoria, Arizona passed from this world on Sunday, April 3, 2011. Born in Riparia, Washington, Lee, Sr. spent his life in loving service. After an extensive military career serving in the U.S. Navy, he settled in Arizona with his wife where he owned and operated his own spice company. Together, they raised their six children in a loving home that many were "adopted" into and everyone was welcome. There are few who have met Lee Allen that were not touched by his kind heart, giving nature and joyful sense of humor. He is survived by his mother: Jenny Winkler; sons: Lee Allen, Jr. (Mary), Richard Allen (Ellen), Robert Allen, and Randy Allen (Anita); his daughter: Karen Browning; his sister: Karen Stapleton; ten grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He is preceded by his wife, Joan Allen; daughter, Kim Allen; and brother: Herb Winkler. A Celebration of life will be held in his honor at the Allen residence on Saturday, April 9, 2011.
