Marisa Johnson Obituary
Marisa Choate Johnson, age 33 years, died April 6, 2011 after a long battle with cystic fibrosis. Marisa was born in Toledo, Ohio and spent most of her life in the Phoenix area. She graduated from Saguaro High School and Arizona State University. Marisa loved children and worked as a nanny. She is survived by many wonderful friends, her mother, Anne, father Xa, brother Dwight, and stepmother Traci. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Scholarship Foundation to empower others with CF to attend college or to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. A visitation will be held from 5-8PM, Friday, April 8, 2011, Hansen Desert Hills Chapel, 6500 E. Bell Rd., Scottsdale. Her memorial service will be held at 9AM, Saturday, April 9, 2011, Desert Springs Bible Church, 16245 N. Tatum Blvd., Phoenix. Please visit www.hansenmortuary.com to leave online condolences.

Marisa was truly a unique creature. She had an amazing sense of humor that I just "got." I wish I could have seen her more in the last few years but am grateful to have had the opportunity to enjoy her company.

My condolences to the Johnson family for the passing of Marisa. Marisa was a wonderful person and a great friend. I have so many fond memories growing up together on Kings Ave. I will never forget when we moved to Phoenix in 1984 and Marisa, Dwight and Wellesley knocked on our door to introduce themselves and said, "welcome to our world." :) May the fond memories of Marisa live in our hearts forever.

I still remember her smile. Always smiling as a matter of fact. What a great attitude and personality she had. She will be missed.
