My first visit to Az.we visited Shorty & Marge at their very delightful home with lots of open space & mountains in view.We were greeted with smiles & a friendly dog. The house was decorated with warmth & love. I told Shorty I would love moving here someday. He smiled. I will miss a very "classy" man whom I wish I would have seen more of.

Shorty was my San Diego Navy Dad and his Brother, Ed, was my Long Beach Navy Dad. They both were wonderful men that welcomed me into their hearts and homes. They were always teaching me new things. I will always cherish the memories such as the costume parties they threw on Halloween, poker parties, and "The Marble Game".

Shorty's devotion and attention to his wife, Margie, was a guide that I try to emulate in my own marriage. I learned a lot from you, Shorty. Thank you for being a part of my life.

Brother-in-law, Shorty, it has been awhile since we visited you and walked around admiring your lovely yard and playing cards at the kitchen table as we visited and laughed. Those are fond and lasting memories. Goodbyes are sad - - - so instead, with faith and trust in God we give you our love and say, "til we meet again."

A great brother who I will always miss. Loved playing cards when we visited at home and at the rehab center. I will keep you in my prayers always dear brother. Say hello to my hubby as you meet on the golden streets of Heaven. One of my early memories of Shorty, as I know him , was of him combing my long hair before I went to school. A gentle man in every way. I love you..
