Robert Gilson Obituary
79 of Peoria, AZ, passed away on April 8, 2011. He was born February 5, 1932 in Blue Island, Illinois to Robert H and Irene Lobaugh Gilson. Bob graduated from Michigan State University and remained an avid Spartan fan. He married Betty Irene Patterson on October 23, 1954 and they moved to Arizona in 1979 from Flossmoor, Ill. Bob was a great believer in the Boy Scouts of America earning the Eagle Scout Award and became a Scout Master receiving the Silver Beaver Award. Bob and Betty loved to spend their summers at the family cottage in Silver Lake, Michigan. Bob's working career included GM, Inland Steel, Continental Can, Honeywell and ASU. Bob is survived by his loving wife Betty, daughter Karen Fulton (Jim), grandson Lee Jach, grand daughters Lori Baggs, great grandsons Kyle and Jake, Kara Fulton Ruud (John) great grandson Ryan, brother Jay (Barbara), step-brother Bob Hoag (Mary Jane), niece and nephews. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am April 13, at Camino Del Sol Funeral Chapel 13738 Camino Del Sol, Sun City West, Az 85375. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of the Valley in Bob's name. Go Spartans!
