Dan Knight Obituary

Knight, Dan
Dan died peacefully on the afternoon of April 3 in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife Kim's arms around him and her voice in his ear. He left a trail of friends and family from Texas to Arizona to California, who knew him as a college professor, a cook, a painter, a classic car dealer, an antique collector, a lover of California beaches and a dedicated contrarian. Whatever he did, coaching women's softball or restoring an old house, he did with a passion to be the best at it. Dan was both charming and infuriating, often at the same time. He was the second of Howard and Dorothy June Knight's five children and is survived by two brothers and two sisters, Don, Diane, David and Debbie. Dan held strong opinions and generated the same in return from those he touched. He died too soon. He was unique. He leaves a void. Dan loved his pups. If you would like to remember him, we suggest the Capper and Chris Save the Animals Fund at Texas A & M University http://vetmed.tamu.edu/giving/ways-to-give or the puppy advocate of your choice.
