Willien, Robert Martin
age 90, passed away at home on April 1, 2011 surrounded by his loving family; his wife of 65 yrs, Janet (Bolender), three daughters Nancy (Doug) Fleming & Beth (Kamron) Fakrieh of Phx, Sara Willien of Hilliard, OH. Grandchildren: Robert (Erin) Minton of Mt. Vernon, OH, Matthew (Debbie) Minton of Phx, & Brittany (Marc) Marayag of Goodyear. Great-Grandchildren: Drew, Cameron, Carson, Abbey, Michael, & Preston Minton, & Ava Marayag. Born May 5, 1920, in Terre Haute, IN, Bob completed high school in Bath, NY & graduated from Butler Univ. in Indiana in 1948. Bob served in the US Navy in the Pacific during WWII. Bob and Janet raised their family in Hilliard, OH & retired to Sun City West, AZ in 1983. Recently they lived with family in Phoenix. Bob retired from the State of OH Division of Watercraft, & ran Assured Driver Training in Hilliard, OH. He was a lifetime member of American Legion, Kiwanis, OH Highway Patrol, Coast Guard Auxiliary, & was a Lt. Col. in the Civil Air Patrol. He is a Past Commodore of Columbus Scioto Boat Club. The Willien family held a private memorial service at home. Burial will take place at a later date at Wesley Chapel in Hilliard. I have lovely memories of babysitting for you back in the day. Once, when Mr. Willien took me home, we saw the aurora borealis! May God hold you especially close in this tender time.
