Merton & Vera Riggs
April 14, 2011
To Furman's family,
We first met Furman and Mary Jane when we were looking for a Papillon. They allowed us to have a red and white female puppy, known as Mandy. What a joy she was to us. Over the years our friendship grew and in addition to being a great "dog" mentor, Furman was so much more. He was an honorable gentleman; someone always there to listen; he had a wonderful sense of humor and such a delightful smile. Merton spent many, many hours over the years talking to Furman and they became close friends. We will miss him very much and at the same time realize that he is in Heaven with our Lord. We express our deepest sympathies to you!! We are filled with heartfelt thanks to have known such a wonderful man who will be greatly missed.
