Wilson, Virginia (Chamberlain)
A long time resident of Glendale, AZ was born September 30, 1920 to Fred and Lena Salmans in Mesa, AZ. Virginia met and married Lloyd Chamberlain. Together they loving raised their two children, Lloyd and Marilynn. Virginia was a great homemaker, known for her wonderful cooking and delicious pies. She loved God and was a devoted Sunday school teacher for years. In 1966 Virginia lost her beloved husband. Soon thereafter she started her career with the Arizona Bank and worked as a teller until retiring in 1986. In 1974, Virginia married Leo Wilson. Virginia and Leo loved to camp and fish. They both had a great sense of humor and liked playing practical jokes on their friends but especially each other. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, four siblings, and husbands Lloyd Chamberlain and Leo Wilson. She is survived by her son Lloyd Chamberlain; daughter Marilynn (Bruce) Eiklor; sister Mildred (Jim) Chambliss, Port Townsend, WA; granddaughters Stephanie (Charles) Short; Ronda (Dominick) Gagliano; grandsons Stephen (Crystal) Wilson and David Chamberlain; great grandchildren Shyla Short and Joseph Short plus nieces and nephews. A special thanks to The Inn at the Amethyst for the five years of TLC they gave to Virginia & our family. To Hospice Inspiris and Baptist Village - Sun Ridge thank you for providing such special care and comfort to Virginia and our family during the last days of Virginia's life.
