C. Dawe Obituary

Dawe, C. Kendall
Charles Kendall Dawe passed away peacefully at his home in Scottsdale AZ on April 10, 2011, after a long battle with cancer. His beloved Carolyn Oursland at his side. Born in Berkeley, CA in 1930, Kendall lived 80 years, enjoying life, family, and friends. Kendall graduated from Acalanes High School in Walnut Creek, CA, served in the Marine Corps, and was honorably discharged in 1949. He attended college at Berkeley, graduating from San Francisco State in 1956. He moved to AZ in 1963 to make his permanent home and raise his family. Kendall is survived by his three sons from his marriage to Millie Skousen. Grady (wife Sarah), Garner (wife Sharon), and Greg. He leaves behind three grandchildren, Remington, Courtney, Elizabeth, and Carolyn's sons Jeff and David. His favorite hobby and passion became flying as a private pilot. This allowed Kendall, as a manufacturers representative, to fly throughout the U.S., as the first salesman selling Styrofoam cups. After his retirement in 1985 Carolyn and Kendall enjoyed 25 years of spending time at Kendalls lovely hacienda in Alamos, Mexico and traveling together around the world. A private ceremony will be held at the Cave Creek Cemetery in Carefree, AZ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley. Arrangements entrusted to Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary.
