Barbara Jacobs Obituary
born October 25th, 1940 in Chicago, IL passed away at home Saturday, April 16th 2011, at the age of 70, six days before her 50th wedding anniversary. A friendly and energetic woman, she moved to Glendale AZ with her loving husband of nearly 50 years in October of 2001. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be missed by her family and many friends. Barbara is survived by her husband Harold A. Jacobs of Glendale AZ, three children, Lisa (Steve) Wimmell of Pottstown PA, Jeff (Shelia) Jacobs of Algonquin, IL, Laura (John) Mientus of Charlotte NC, seven grandchildren, Johnathon Cameron of Schaumburg IL, Patrick (Colleen) Cameron of Lake in the Hills IL, Melissa (Jerry) Mathis of Gastonia NC, Jennifer Jacobs of Crystal Lake IL, Christina Jacobs of Marengo IL, Matthew Maloney of Woodstock GA and Maria Wimmell of Pottstown PA, and her sister, Patricia (Ramon) Diaz of Baltimore MD. She was preceded in death by her father Robert C. Lewis of Clinton IA. It was Barbara's wish that there be no memorial service, instead the family will gather at her home for a private memorial. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to Hospice of the Valley, Phoenix AZ (http://www.hov.org/donate.aspx).

I am saddened for the lost of this very special woman in my life. She has gone to heaven to be with the Lord. May the family have hope and faith that she is in a better place. Rest in peace Mrs Jacobs. You will definitely be missed.

Mom - I will always love you. You were my friend, my confidante and the best mom a daughter could ask for. It's hard to believe I can't pick up the phone and hear your voice and laughter on the other end. Thanks for all the joy you brought to my life.
