Henry Horejsi Obituary

Horejsi, Henry
98 of Flagstaff, passed away on April 14, 2011 of natural causes with his family by his side. Mr. Horejsi was born May 21, 1912 in Olivia, Minnesota he moved his family from Minnesota to Flagstaff in 1958 and was the owner of Horejsi Floor Covering in Flagstaff. He and his wife Virginia moved to Phoenix after retirement in 1978 and returned to flagstaff in 2005. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree, as well as being involved with St. Vincent de Paul in Phoenix and Flagstaff for many years. He was very active in the Catholic Church, being involved with many programs and charity work at St. James Parish in Phoenix. He loved gardening and dancing, and had quite a collection of hats and ties. He had a great love for people, especially his family. Henry and Virginia were married on April 12, 1944. He is survived by his wife of 67, years Virginia, their daughters, Dianne, Kathleen (Ken), Sharlene (Chris) and Barbara; and sons Douglas and Jerome (Trish); as well as ten grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Horejsi, Brother Frank Horejsi, sister Blanche Faiman and Loretta Loskota. A Rosary and Mass of Christian burial were held Tuesday and Wednesday in Flagstaff, Interment was at the Calvary Cemetery Flagstaff, AZ. Condolences may be sent to www.norvelowensmortuary.com.
