Sophie Baumruk Obituary
93, passed away on April 19, 2011, at Hospice of Arizona, Peoria, Arizona. Sophie was a resident of Sun City West, Az. Since 1979. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Bruen, (Jim), and two grandchildren, Mark Peterson of Normal, Illinois and Laura Jackson of Spring, Texas. Sophie was great grandma to Caileigh and Owen Peterson and Troy and Curtis Jackson. Sophie was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church of Sun City West. A funeral mass will be offered for Sophie at Prince of Peace Church, Sun City West, on Tues., April 26, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be at Prince of Peace Church one half hour prior to mass. Sophie was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Otto Baumruk. Sophie loved playing bocce ball and bridge. She loved fishing, gardening, and reading. She will be missed with love by all who knew her. Memorials can be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church or Hospice of Arizona.
