Betty and Family, I am stunned to hear of Don's passing; from a teenager's memory I still think of Don and Betty in their 40's and full of energy. I have so many fond memories of watching Don and Betty build their home when we lived next door to them on 34th Ave.

You are in my prayers today.

Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to Betty and family for their recent loss. Don will be missed by many whose lives he's touched over the years. We're friends from Minnesota who reside in Arizona during the winter months. Don and Betty made many fishing trips to northern Minnsota over the years. They, and Don's sister, Nadine, were influential with our decision to first visit Tonto Basin, AZ. We have fond memories from our association with both Don and Betty. We also enjoyed the many pecans and citrus fruits they gave us. We will miss Don!!!

To The Kimball Family:
I was working in my Father's outboard motor repair shop when I first met Don. He had been on the Fire Dept a few years and I was a teenager. He started telling me about his job when he came by to see my Dad and my interest grew. He was an Engineer on Ladder One at the time and invited me down to the OLD FS-1 to show me around. When the PFD first started hiring 18 year olds in 1968, his encouragement and willingness to take me under his wing got me the job. I'm just one of the many people who owe much to Don and always will remember and respect him. GOD bless you, Don. RIP
