Thank you Michelle for having this Memory Book for my Tia Monica. It's been 13 years since she has left us, and I can still clearly hear her laughter and witty remarks. I can also hear your dads voice, distinct with a Honduran accent, and of course he spoke Spanish fluently. I remember he worked at the gas station on the corner of Apache and Rural Rd 65 to 70 years ago. Damn that's a long time but ago! But I remember him well. He was a handsome vato. My Tia Monica was a beautiful women inside and out and she is missed dearly. Rest in peace Tia. Will always love you.

I remember when she came to stay with my mom, her sister Margie for a couple of weeks way back in the 60's. Her and my mom had a blast together. My Tia Monica had a really good sense of humor.

Tia Monica,
Well all the memories of you are beautiful, their funny and happy memories. You were a trickster, a joker, a loving tia, and my mom loved you dearly. I remember a lot of the times you came to visit and stay with us in California, needless to say you and my mom had a lot of good times here and in Arizona. My mom knew how to party big time! I remember my Tio Mauricio very well too. They were a beautiful couple.

Hi Ma,
Just missing you really bad today, I miss you every day, but you were in my dreams all night, so I can't get your laughter out of my head. I love your laugh, so loud and bold. Oh ma, wish you were here right now brushing the knots out of my hair and making me cry, then wiping my tears away and giving me a treat.
I miss you ma.
Your devoted daughter.

Mom,You were never much on words but you always agreed I was right even when I wasn't.You were the Hyde who made me smile the most with the helpless antics you pulled on me throughout the years. Give dad a big hug for me. See you when I get to the other side. Love, Robin (Marks wife)

My Aunt Monica was such an inspiring woman! Her laugh was contagious, as her smile was too. She loved unconditionally. I never wanted her stories of all her travels to end. When she talked about horses or dancing, she glowed! The horse is a symbol for velocity, vitality and beauty and it represent power like that of the wind, storm, fire and waves. This is what she symbolized for me.

When I used to see her arrive at Grandma's, I always knew I would leave feeling better about myself.

I will miss her dearly. I too think she is riding on her horse, then dancing around the moon with the Love of her life! Her spirit lives among us all who Loved and Laughed with her! :*)

My best friend had the kind of courage I wish I had, her smile, laughter and most importantly her loving heart will be missed. I too hope that you walk, and ride with the horses you so dearly loved. You will be in my heart always as the most amazing person I have ever known.

Christmas will never be the same.
