I've heard many great things about uncle Tony! He was very much loved by everyone, even those who never met him. May he rest in peace.

I will miss uncle Tony. He used to come and hang out with my Tata. He always brought his tape collection. I remember I loved his Burl Ives tape and he ended up giving it to me. I always thought he was sophisticated and loved him.

Another friend from the past has departed this life. We shared great times in our youth; sand lot ball games; fishing; walking to school and singing songs on evening gatherings - all taking place at El Barrio De La Lincoln. Tony was always full of ideas, full of energy and strength, We went our ways when the barrio broke up, then the Korean war further separated us to never again be the same group as before. My regret is that in our waning years I failed to see him again as an adult. I always considered Tony a hero for his war injuries. God rest his soul. My condolences to Martin and Minnie and family members....Rosario Figueroa
