They say that time heals all wounds...and, perhaps, wounds to the body do heal eventually; but, the wounds to the heart and mind are never mended.
As time goes by, it seems so hard to fathom that what we could only imagine then would now be reality.
Who would have ever imagined that anyone in our family would have passed...especially, Mom or Dad, or God Forbid, both of them?
At our family dinners, it was always talk about everyone else...not us. We were immune. We were the Parras.
But, it is now...it is today.
Mom and Dad are only a memory. It is only time before the rest of us from the family are only a memory too.
And so, time goes on. It takes loved ones away from us and soon takes us too...so we can all be together again.
I miss my Mom.
I miss my Dad.
We each had separate things between us. I was very close to my Mom since I was Grandpa's favorite. I was close to my Dad cause we shared time and experiences that only a father and son do while growing up.
God Bless You Both.
I am whom I am because of you two.
And, I am so proud of that.
I am the oldest son of Manuel and Simona Parra from Fierro, New Mexico.
If I die tomorrow...I could not have accomplished more.
Love, Your Son, Tony.

I was blessed to know Simona a short while and was privileged to bring her the Holy Eucharist this past year. She taught me a lot about faith and was so very proud of her children and the love that they showed her constantly. I will miss hearing her say "hello my dear" and know that she is enjoying heaven with her beloved husband. Your service this morning was beautiful and YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN SO PROUD. God Bless you Simona.
