Antoinette Roberts Obituary
61, of San Diego, CA passed away on April 19, 2011. Toni was born in Mesa, Arizona on March 16, 1950 to Anthony and Betty Balsamo. Toni graduated from Arizona State University, where she met her husband Michael. Toni began her illustrious teaching career at Ward Elementary before moving to Curry Elementary School where she taught for 14 years. The family moved to San Diego in 1987 where she continued her career and taught for another 23 years before retiring in June 2010. She is survived by her husband Mike, her daughter Kelly Roberts Basham (Tim), son Drew Roberts, mother Betty Balsamo, and sister Tina Whiteheart. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 26 at Lifebridge Church in Rancho Bernardo, CA at 6:00pm.

Toni, I have only fond memories of you. You had such a vibrant, beautiful, loving personality. We met at Westwood, and renewed our friendship at Shoal Creek. Even though I moved away over ten years ago, you have stayed in my heart. May God bless you, rest in peace my Friend.

Mrs. Roberts was my 3rd grade teacher at Shoal Creek Elementary. I remember that she loved teaching science, the subject I like the most. Mrs. Roberts continues to be my favorite teacher. I will miss her very much.

I have only known Toni for a short time, but she was such a sweet and vibrant young woman, just like her Mother and her sister Tina. Tina is my sister-n-law. She and Toni were like the sisters I never had and I feel honored to have known Toni for the time that I did. My sincere condolences to the family. Karla McDonald
