Shonka, Frances Alice
79, of Mesa, AZ died Monday, April 18, 2011. She was born October 5, 1931 in Cedar Rapids, IA the daughter of Felix and Lucy (Butler) Simkavitz. She graduated from St. Patrick HS in 1949 and married Leland (Lee) Shonka, June 9, 1951. Mother of five, grandmother of eight, great-grandmother to one.

Hi Mom! Happy 80th birthday. I feel you with me in spirit everyday. I miss you immensely. I treasure the time(s) we had together while you were. So many wonderful memories. I love this prayer you taught me when I stayed with you and dad a year ago...
"When evening draws it's curtains, and pins them with a star. Know that I'll be thinking about you ~ no matter where you are". I love that poem and say it nightly. I love you and miss you. Your Carol Ann, #4 and the family, Eric, Trent, Jack and Cristina
