Hannah Huckfeldt Obituary

Huckfeldt, Hannah Marie
passed peacefully in the arms of her devoted parents on April 23, 2011. Born Aug. 2, 2005, the little girl with a tenacious spirit gave a lifetime of love in her short 5 years. She is the daughter of Michelle "Shelly" and JC Huckfeldt of Chandler, Az., and sister of 2-year-old Dylan. During her short but full life, she enjoyed playing princess, coloring, the beach, the color pink, pre-school and dance class. Hannah fought clear cell sarcoma of the kidney that spread to the brain for 4 years with courage of steel, opting always for faith over fear. Her courage survives her death, her spirit inspires us all. She is survived by maternal grandparents, Gary and Nancy Byrne of North Platte, Neb.; paternal grandfather Norman Huckfeldt of Twin Falls, ID.; aunts Kristy VonWalburg (Jeff), Katy McCaffrey (Chris) and Monica Byrne; cousins Samantha & Stella VonWalburg. Funeral services 10am. Wednesday at St. Andrews the Apostle Catholic Church, 3450 W. Ray Rd, Chandler. Family requests donations to Hanna Huckfeldt Foundation, P.O. 725, North Platte, Neb., 69103.

Dear Shelly and JC: We are close friends of Mary Ann and Bob Dercher; and remember all of our con-versations with Mary Ann regarding your sweet Hannah when she was diagnosed and all of you were going through that nightmare. Please know that we have never forgotten Hannah and all of her family. We often think of her in Heaven in her little angel wings, so happy, having so much fun, and looking down on you, her family, saying "it's okay mom and dad, I am feeling beautiful and happy in Heaven with Jesus. I want to see you happy. I love you and some day we will be together again". God bless all of you.

Shelly, J.C., and all of Hannah's family:
You are all so brave, so spiritual, so loving and caring--all shown in little Hannah's short life. God bless all of you. May time pass quickly to turn your tears into beautiful smiles as you remember your beautiful child. I've never met Hannah, but I feel her in my heart and I love her dearly. She is blessed to be with Jesus. We are sad to let her go; but I know you all feel her love and smiles as she looks down upon you from Heaven. Again, God bless all of you. He has blessed you dearly for giving you such a sweet, loving, beautiful little girl such as Hannah, even though it was only for a little while. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you daily. They are inspired by Hannah. Love to all, Carol McCarty (Bob and Mary Ann Dercher are the dearest of friends to me and my husband, Mac.)

Dear Huckfeldt Family, You have shown such courage, but better yet, all of your lives have been a wonderful witness to your faith. By facing the truth and placing Hannah in Hospice so she would have quality of life, you were realistic and yet could still remain hopeful. We met relatives of yours in AZ this winter when we were parked next to them in an RV Park. You all will remain in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless and comfort you in these difficult days.

I heard about Hannah through my Friend Kristine Casey.Although I never knew her I love her strong spirit. I know your pain, I lost my Brother May 17,2010 to pancreatic cancer. There are just no words I can say to ease your pain but I do know this, Hannah is an added beautiful Angel in Heaven now and is with Jesus. May God give you comfort and peace at this difficult time.
