Bernie hasbeen well known throughout the state, she's known for her bright smile, beloved humor and strong will to be a brave frighter through thick and thin, through out the hard times shes always kept her head up high and stayed on her forward moving path of life that kept her moving day by day. I bearly knew her husband, but may them both rest in peace now and she may be with him for all eternity, since his passing she kept a big bold smile on her face and kept living life to the fullest. She loved to go out and have fun at annual gun shows and do many things with friends and family. She was a best friend to all and she was there for you when you needed a shoulder to cry on. When I found out she had told my mother she had cancer it made my heart break to know a close friend to all of us had gotten that terrible disease, but even throughout all her treatments and the pain, she proceeded to go on life with a big smile on her face and a welcoming warm hug, and still lived life to her fullest. She came to work being stubborn knowingly she's in pain, but she kept on going! She's a fighter all the way to the end, she was a strong hearted woman with everyones hearts in mind. I was surpised to hear from my mother on that monday morning that she had passed away on friday, it made me cry to thinking after all her treatments she was getting better, but now she may rest in gods hands at last. She was brought into this world with a strong head on her shoulders and left this world with an even bigger head upon her shoulders held up high with love and hope for everyone who she cared dearly for. I knew bernie since she started working with my mother at Cheyenne elementry, and she will be truly missed by all and we all loved her very much.
Sincerely;

I have known Bernie for 12 years. she was working at Cheyenne school as the cashier. I had the chance to become the manager there and Bernie taught me everything that I know. She retired for a couple of years and then I went over to her house and begged her to come back to work because I missed her so much that the cafeteria was not the same with out her. She was my rock. she never complained and she was so strong and I admired that about her so much.She will most defenatly be missed
Sincerely

Bernie and I have been friends for over 20 years. We worked together at Foothills elementary for years and continued our friendship after we moved to different schools, catching up on our lives over lunches and Laughlin trips. I have many good memories from over the years. Even though you are gone you will always have a special place in my heart, Bernie. What a great friend I found in you and you will be missed. Love you girl!!

I met Bernie around 1995 when she worked at Foothills Elementary School. I made it a habit to say hello to her and her work mates, and she always had the biggest smile and a friendly remark. When I retired and went to substitute teach at Cheyenne, lo and behold! There she was with that smile and friendly banter! I've been at Cheyenne constantly these last five years and enjoyed laughing and talking to her.
I miss her already.

I have known Bernie for over 10 years now and I can say that she was a good person to have known about. She worked with my mother and even when she was fighting for her life, due to Lung Cancer. She would still be stubborn enough to show up for work, even when she didn't feel like her best. She had a good sense of humor that made even a guy like me smile and laugh at times. I know for certain, that the Cafeteria that her and my mother worked together at will never be the same. Bernie, you will be surley missed by all of us.
Sincerely,
Michael Anthony Meece
