Sherry Noreen - Saltz Obituary
Passed away peacefully, at age 59, on April 21, 2011 from pancreatic cancer. Sherry was diagnosed over two years ago, and fought a courageous battle. Sherry spent her formative years in Michigan, graduating from Michigan State University with honors. She applied her education, training and vibrant personality in achieving an award winning marketing career in the field of telecommunications for AT&T, Michigan Bell/Ameritech and US West. Sherry will always be remembered as a very classy, caring, brilliant, savvy, loving, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Sherry's selfless dedication to her friends and family was legendary. She is survived by her loving husband Mitchell, daughter Erica Newcom (husband Monte) and grandson Holden. Contributions can be made to T-Gen (www.tgen.org).

My thoughts and prayers are with her family and close friends during this difficult time. I met Sherry through a very dear friend, Marie Wadecki. Sherry was such a lovely and energetic lady. She will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to have met her.

To put it simply, Sherry was my best friend. We met in high school and became college roommates along with Marie Wadecki at Michigan State and the three of us have remained very close friends for over 40 years! She was a remarkable woman and was constantly 'setting up dates' with people she thought would be a good match! To her credit, my husband and I are together today because of her marvelous intuition. She is simply the best and the world is a better place to have had her in it!
