Gerald Ihnat Obituary
Gerald "Jerry" Ihnat of Phoenix (Ahwatukee) was born Nov. 13, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio, died April 24, 2011 after a long battle with cancer. Jerry graduated from Case Institute of Technology in 1957. He also studied for an MBA at Syracuse University. He spent over 25 years working at Hallmark Electronics (now Avnet) also worked for Debenham Electric Co. in Anchorage, AL. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Nancy; his children Laura Dawson (James) of Ahwatukee, Sharon of Gilbert and Brian (Terri) of Morrow, Ohio; grandchildren Eric and Danielle Dawson, Amanda & Lauren Ihnat, his sister Delores Fisher of Ahwatukee and brother-in-law Donald Haas of Parma, Ohio. Visitation will be Thursday, April 28th from 6:00 - 9:00pm at Carr-Tenney Mortuary, 2621 S. Rural Road, Tempe, AZ. Funeral Mass will be Friday, April 29th at 10:00am at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 16223 S. 48th St., Phoenix, AZ; with a Reception following at the church. A Private Family Interment will follow. In Lieu of flowers please make contributions to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.

Dear Nancy and family,
With deepest sorrow, I am sending my thoughts and prayers. Even though I havn't seen you in a while, my mom (Judy Rebman Kerry)speaks of you both often. I will be forever grateful to you and Jerry for watching over my Great Aunti Ann. May he rest in peace.
