Jose Leyvas Obituary
Jose Sammy Leyvas, 65 of Phoenix, AZ went to be with the Heavenly Father, on April 21, 2011. After a courageous battle with heart disease. He is preceded in death by his brothers Manuel, Trinidad and sister EmeLinda. There was never was a man more loved, respected, and admired by all who knew him. He proudly served in the US Army. Professionally he was a retired licensed private investigator, former armed security officer at Maricopa County Hospital, former Isaac School district Employee, and lastly Isaac Elementary School District Governing Board Member until his passing. Survived by his father, Jose Samuel Leyvas SR., sister Carmen L. Bejarano, brother Juan L. Bejarano, his daughters, Jenny R. Sanchez, Paula, Sonia and Teresa. Sons Jose Samuel Leyvas, David Trevino and Sam Bejarano. Granddaughters Angelica and Alysa Sanchez and several other grandchildren. Many loving cousins and extended family, he will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Rosary was held Tuesday, April 26th 5-8pm at Abel Funeral Services 1627 N. 51st Ave. A mass of burial will be held Wednesday, April 27th at 11:00 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church 909 E. Washington Street, followed by burial at St. Francis Cemetery 2033 N, 48th Street.

To Jenny and the rest of the family of Mr. Jose Sammy Leyvas, God bless you. Jenny, I just found out today, Sunday, May 1, 2011 that you had lost your beloved father. I know he certainly loved you because he talked about you all the time with me. I think he was glad that you sang in the school chorus with me. It was certainly great having his daughter in my class.
I just want you to know that I thought the world of your dad. He was kind, thoughtful, cheerful, friendly, and he always gave me good advice. He was a true professional. Take care my dear. Rest in the knowledge that now your earthly father is with your Heavenly Father.
