Evelyn Marti Obituary
Evelyn Marti, of Goodyear, went to her Savior on April 16, 2011. Evelyn was born in Wisconsin in 1921. She had 9 siblings. In 1936, she married Clarence Marti, (who preceded her in death). They had 4 daughters, Valerie, Charmaine, Mavis and Deany. They moved to Arizona. She loved helping others. She was a Christian model for all who knew her. Evelyn along with Clarence were instrumental in WELS congregations throughout Az. She was a supporter of Az. Lutheran Academy. She worked at Good Sam in the pediatric ward for many years and volunteered at the ALA Thrift Store where she was known as "Grandma". She was the glue of 5 generations here in Az. and was loved dearly. She will be missed but will remain in our memories forever. Memorial services will be April 30th, 1 P.M. at St. Thomas Lutheran, 5201 W. Thomas Rd, Phx., Az. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Az. Lutheran Academy.

Grandma..Words cant express the love and admiration that I had for you. I enjoyed the time we got to spend. I loved the fact that we used to have the big family get togethers on Indianola, Dayton and up in Payson. It was during those times that seeing you and papas love for people and Christ made an impact on me. I remember all the good times including going to church. You and Papa were my models and you both planted that seed way back then. I know you knew that- you were the reason i have turned to Christ and built that relationship with Him. Thank you so much for being you and being here with us for so long. I will see you again. Say "Hi" to papa, my dad and all those that have gone before us. Luv ya, Christine

I will always remeber the times that I went with CJ to her house. She was a wonderful person who welcomed me with open arms. What a wonderful life she lived! May god bless her family that is left to grieve.

I will always remember Aunt Evie (and Uncle Clarence too) from the all-nighter Christmas and card parties . . . . wonderful memories of two wonderful people! Another Angel has left this world.
