V'Esser McDonald Obituary
of Phoenix, AZ, passed away April 13, 2011 at the age of 95. Born in Bradley, Arkansas, she moved to Arizona in 1943 where she started teaching at Dunbar School and became the Principal of Faith North School in Phoenix Elementary School District #1. She is survived by her daughter Gayle Stevenson of Gold Canyon, AZ, grandson Tyrone Stevenson and great grandchildren Jordan and Chelsey Stevenson. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 30th at 12 noon with a gathering of friends prior from 10 to 12 noon at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 6522 N. 39th Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Florence Crittenton Services, 715 W. Mariposa St., Phoenix, AZ 85013 or send check to Delta Research and Education Foundation (memo line should include "In Honor of Soror V'Esser McDonald"). Dear Gayle,
I just found out today, May 1, 2011 that you had lost your beloved mother. I remember all the wonderful times we had at your house as children.
I remember your dad taking us swimming with you in the summer. I remember the Girl Scout troop that your mother sponsored and all the fun we had in it. Thank you for sharing your parents.

V'Esser was an inspiration and an angel on earth. She was insightful and instrumental in helping the many girls at Florence Crittenton in Phoenix. My deepest condolences to the family. May you always treasure the wonderful times and memories you had with her. Pam Allsworth
